The State-Level NSDI Building Block Assessment, co-led by Jenna Leveille and Richard Wade, is a strategic initiative to transform NSGIC’s Geospatial Maturity Assessment (GMA) into a nationally integrated, independently validated tool. Phase 1 will engage a third-party review to enhance the GMA’s credibility and sustainability, aligning it with federal frameworks like the FGDC and GDA. The initiative aims to strengthen confidence in state-level geospatial programs, improve benchmarking, and support long-term investment in a robust National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
